At Commonwealth House, we believe in building a welcoming and vibrant community where residents feel truly at home. To foster this sense of connection, we host a wide range of events throughout the year — giving everyone the chance to socialise, explore, and enjoy new experiences together.

Our calendar includes everything from local outings to cultural celebrations. We frequently attend theatre or cinema showings and local cultural festivals. One of Oxford’s unique traditions is the annual 5am May Morning celebration, introducing international residents to this cherished Oxford experience. 

 

During the warmer months, picnics, barbecues and punting are a popular way to relax and connect.

We also host film nights, where residents can enjoy cinema from around the world, and our regular annual events include an Easter party, a summer barbecue, and our much-anticipated Christmas Banquet.
