Can I pay by credit card?

No. All payments for the deposit and monthly rent must be made by bank transfer.

My plans have changed – can I change my arrival / leaving dates?

We will try to assist with changes of dates, depending on the availability of rooms.  Please let us know as soon as possible if changes are required.

Is heating included in the cost?

Yes, heating in communal areas and bedrooms is included.  Although temperatures are comfortable for most Europeans, some residents prefer their rooms to be warmer – in this case, additional heating can be purchased through a coin-operated meter.

Are there any other costs?

We make a small charge to cover electricity usage in your room. This is typically £2-3 per month.

Is bedding provided?

Yes, your room will have a duvet and pillows and bed linen. Some residents bring their own blanket. We do not provide towels.

Is cleaning included?

All communal areas (lounge, kitchens and bathrooms are cleaned every weekday. You are responsible for cleaning your own room - vacuum cleaners and cleaning materials are provided.

Are the social events free?

That depends on the event.  Many events are free e.g. film nights.  If we organise external events such as theatre trips then you will be asked to pay for the ticket.

I’m here to study do I have to attend the social events?

No, they’re completely voluntary!  We organise events to help residents connect with each other and form friendships.  Some people prefer to focus on their studies and that’s completely fine.

Can I bring a car?

Accepted Answer

No. We are in a city centre location and do not have any parking spaces. However, Oxford is a relatively small city and most places are in easy walking distance. The city has good bus and rail link.
